BUILD FUNCTIONAL MUSCLE - LOSE FAT – FEEL GOOD
At STRENGTHEVITY we are all about building balanced physiques while maintaining the ability to use our body the way it was initially designed.
We use a mixture of traditional bodybuilding, sports specific strength and conditioning, powerlifting, Olympic weight lifting, modified strong man, HIIT training, Breath-work including the simulation of high altitude training, calisthenics, postural correction and natural movement to build the physique your looking for while keeping injury free and performing to the highest level.
Expect to use strength equipment such as gymnastic rings, suspension straps, pull up rigs, dip rigs, sandbags, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells and resistance bands. For conditioning we may use rowers, bikes, ski-ergs along with natural movements such as hiking, running and swimming.

SPORTS PERFORMANCE
At Strengthevity we put an emphasis on building athletes with a strong foundation of physical attributes from balance, proprioception, joint mobility, aerobic and aneorobic endurance, max strength, strength endurance, speed and power. After we have created solid foundations we can get more specific with our goals. For example a 12 week hypertrophy phase followed by a 12 week strength phase.
We offer in person and online sports specific courses running over a 3, 6 and 12 month basis.
NATURAL MOVEMENT
The practice of natural movement combines locomotion, manipulative and combative elements to symbiotically develop positional and breath control, spatial awareness, coordination, balance, mobility, stability, strength, power, endurance, adaptability, and resiliency well as focus and mental fortitude. Reawaken the innate human drive to move naturally. Develop human performance via effectiveness, efficiency and adaptability in natural movement. Create self-resilience through physical competence and or real-world strength.
BREATHE
Missing Piece Of The Puzzle. The primary link between the mental and the physical is our breath. Learn Duncan's unique approach to breathing, bringing together ancient and modern techniques and applying them to practical modern scenarios.
JOINT MOBILITY
Just as a high-performance sports car needs oiling, so do your joints if you want to keep them healthy. Learn how to mobilise your joints under professional guidance. A joint mobility program will stimulate and circulate synovial fluid around the joint capsule. This can prevent not only injury but also prolong the health and longevity of the joint. Take care of your joints, and they'll take care of you.
FLEXIBILITY
Flexibility in a nutshell is the passive end range of motion at a joint or group of joints. Note this is different from mobility which is the active range of motion you can control throughout the joint. I personally believe both are important and have there purpose in a well rounded program.
The modern human spends an abundance of there day in unnatural positions such as sitting on chairs, using our phones and devices, reading. Even many athletic pursuits can re affirm these positions. Think cycling and rowing.
If we incorporate specific stretches into our day and strength program we can optimise our movement capacity, allowing us to gain strength in new ranges of motion. Limit our chance of injury and help optimise our performance.
Adding in some flexibility work along with specific functional breathing exercises can also aid recovery after tough bouts of stress or exercise.
Incorporate our mindset when it comes to flexibility. It doesn’t need to take over your life. If we assess your body type, biomechanics, take your job into consideration along with your goals we can create a unique time efficient routine that syncs with your daily habits, routines, athletic pursuits and strength program.

We are mostly limited not by our physical abilities but by our minds. Impart the "Strengthevity" fitness philosophy and expect to improve in resiliency, confidence, self-belief, positivity, self-control, generosity, integrity, loyalty and honesty.
NUTRITION
We understand it's highly personal; our role is to meet you where you are now and simplify an often over-complicated topic. We give an easy to follow framework, creating positive habits together while providing accountability.
POSTURAL CORRECTION
Learn to identify and correct dysfunctional movement patterns while addressing your strengths and weakness. Instead of stretching and strengthening mindlessly, the focus here is understanding what would benefit your unique body. Postural correction training uses self-massage, advanced corrective stretching and corrective strengthening techniques. Through this and mindful movement, we can correct our posture, eliminating the risk of future injury, training harder for longer and recovering quicker.
