 Ross’s Story

My initial consultation was a thorough meeting where Duncan got me talking about what I really wanted to achieve and why. Also, what my background was and my journey to get where I am today. He got to know more about me and genuinely seemed interested, which was a refreshing change from what I had experienced in the past. He really listened and said he would come back to me in a week with some ideas and solutions in ways he could help me achieve my goals. This really reassured me that I was treated as an individual instead of making something to fit all, and was going to take time to get the right plan instead of making something up on the spot, which I believe is all too sadly familiar with a lot of personal trainers.

Because he spent the time getting to know me, we really hit it off and he was able to put a program that although was challenging, I really enjoyed so I was able to stick with it this time. He is excellent at motivating me when I need that extra push and I now actually enjoying working out, something I thought would be impossible this time last year. He regularly gives me tips around my diet and how to improve my mental health which allows me to cope better with my anxiety and in highly stressful situations. He also shows me new exercises, things I can do at home which has really helped my flexibility and eased my knee pain, so I never get stuck in a routine of doing the same thing time and time again. I can’t believe the progression I have made in the last few months of working with Duncan and can’t thank him enough. He really has helped change my life for the better.

I work in a job where my hours often vary and Duncan is always so accommodating even though he has a young baby at home. All my friends and family are shocked at how far I have came in such a short journey, not only the weight loss I have achieved but the newly found confidence I have.
